Chiang To Pandora: Red Street Country VP/Radio Promotions & Artist Development Johnny Chiang will join Pandora July 25 in the newly created position of Sr. Dir./Country Programming, reporting to VP/Programming Kevin Stapleford. “I want to thank Kevin and Steve Blatter for believing in me and what my experiences and skill sets can bring to the team," Chiang says. "And I can’t thank Jay DeMarcus, Alex Valentine and Dan Crockett enough for taking a chance on a radio guy with zero label experience. The entire Red Street team made me feel so welcome and valued from day one. I’ve learned so much about the record business, and that knowledge is going to be invaluable as I take the next step of my career." Prior to Red Street, Chiang spent 18 years at KKBQ/Houston where he was OM/PD and served as Cox Country Format Leader (Breaking News 1/27). He will remain based in Houston; reach him here through July 24.
