Rebel Without A Pause: With the sale of Community Texas/Red Dirt Country KRBL/Lubbock to Lubbock Public Media, Ramar is picking up KRBL's format and "Red Dirt Rebel" branding and moving them to Hot AC KLZK on July 1. In turn, the Hot AC format of KLZK will replace Ramar's Texas Country format on KTTU-HD4 & K226CH. KRBL PD/morning and afternoon host JR "Rebel" Hayes, morning co-host Roberta Roberts and midday host Neely Yates will all make the move to KLZK. Ramar Classic Rock KLBB morning co-host (and former KRBL PD) David Wilde will add afternoons on KLZK; he had also been the PD and sole personality on KTTU-HD4.

While 25,000 watts, the 105.7 signal of KRBL rimshots Lubbock from 15 miles northeast of the city on a 285 foot tower; the KLZK 107.7 signal provides stronger metro coverage with 6,000 watts on a 680 foot tower within the city limits. The "Red Dirt Rebel" brand originated on now-Religious KJDL in 2010 and moved to KRBL in 2018. In the Fall Nielsen survey, KRBL and KTTU-HD4 tied for 19th with a 0.4 share.
