Saga's Lawrence Steps Down:
Saga VP/Programming Bob Lawrence has resigned from his post, effective immediately, after five years. “Leaving was a difficult decision, but it just seems like the right time,” Lawrence tells Country Aircheck. “Saga is an incredible company, and they’ve truly been fabulous to me. As they say on Disneyland’s Big Thunder Mountain, ‘This here’s the wildest ride in the wilderness!’ It’s been a wonderful five-year run; I’m just ready for a lifestyle change and new opportunities yet unseen.” Lawrence's oversight included more than a dozen Country stations, among them WCKN/Charleston, SC; WOGK/Gainesville; WSIG/Harrisonburg, VA and WPOR/Portland, ME. He was named to the position in April 2015 after more than 14 years as Pinnacle Media Pres./CEO. He can now be reached at 313-244-6993 or via email here. No word on plans for a successor.
