New Country Comes To Town: Star 92 Co. launched Country KFSA/Fort Smith, AR and flipped Religious KFSA-AM to a simulcast yesterday (7/1). GM Gary Keifer tells Country Aircheck mornings will be handled by Silverfish/Compass' Big D & Bubba beginning July 13 and one other on-air personality will be revealed on that date as well. Until then, BD&B "best of" segments are running in mornings, and music and imaging cover the rest of the dayparts. No other staff hires are planned for now. Competition in the market includes Cumulus Classic Country KOMS & Nash Icon KLSZ, Big Chief KTCS and iHeartMedia KMAG. Follow KFSA here.
