Alpha Cuts In Alaska: Alpha KBRJ/Anchorage APD/afternoon host Steve "DJ Lefty" Franklin has exited. He joined KBRJ in 2011 (CAT 9/6/11) following time at crosstown Hot AC KMVX. North of Anchorage, sister Classic Country KAYO/Wasilla, AK morning host Kathy Mitchell has exited. Mitchell also handled middays on KBRJ. She had been with the station since it signed on in 2009 (CAT 7/21/09), following more than a decade at crosstown Rock KWHL. This is the latest in a series of cuts by Alpha over the past two months, following similar moves in Texas, Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota and Missouri (CAT 5/8; 5/22; 5/23; 6/14; 6/27).
