Life Note: Scripps KTTS/Springfield PD Mark Grantin has been given a grim diagnosis following a second surgery to address a cancerous lesion on his brain. According to a video posted to the station's Facebook page, doctors learned after the surgery that his cancer has spread significantly. "We did get a chance to say goodbye to him last night," morning personality Cash Williams notes in the message. "This is a tough morning, but we're not even going through close what his wife and family are going through." Grantin has been battling cancer for much of the last six years.
