KPET Goes Dark: Following the death of station owner David Stewart earlier this month (Chronicle 7/3), KPET/Lamesa, TX has gone off the air after more than 70 years. KCBD-TV/Lubbock, TX reports Stewart's family made the decision to take the station off the air. No word when, or if, it will return.
