Piece Of The Jackson: Former Saga VP/Programming Bob Lawrence has been named New South/Jackson, MS GM/MM for the cluster including Country WUSJ & Classic Country WHJT. He succeeds Gwen Rakestraw, who is retiring after two decades in the post. “It was truly a fortuitous turn of events for all parties, and it just all came together extremely quickly while here on vacation in Mississippi,” says Lawrence, who stepped down at Saga earlier this month (CAT 7/1).
