WRKA Goes Classic Again
George Straight: SummitMedia Urban AC WRKA/Louisville returned to Classic Country this morning (7/14) as "Kentucky Straight 103.9," focusing on '90s and 2000s gold. The signal was mainstream Country from 2004 to 2008, and Classic Country from 2008 through 2018 (CAT 1/14/19). WRKA is a Class A with 1,350 watts transmitting from downtown Louisville, and pairs with mainstream sister WQNU, which was 10th with a 3.0 share in the March-May Nielsen survey (CAT 6/27). iHeartMedia WAMZ topped the market with a 6.5, and has led the market in 11 of the last 13 surveys.
