Bits & Pieces: Alpha KYSM/Mankato, MN was part of the fun when Walker Hayes caught up with super-fan Matt Ives at Applebee’s recently. Hayes first met Ives at the Country Boom Festival after a video of Ives receiving a “Fancy Like” t-shirt for his birthday went viral. A few weeks ago, Hayes recognized Ives in the Minneapolis airport and they made plans for a date night at Applebee’s, where KYSM was on hand to record the impromptu dance party. The feel-good story was also featured on NBC Nightly News.
