Bits & Pieces: George Strait helped raise $6.25M for for those affected by the catastrophic flooding across Texas’ Hill Country with his July 27 Strait To The Heart benefit dinner (CAT 7/11). In addition to Strait, performers included Garth Brooks, William Beckman, Ray Benson, Kyle Park, Hudson Westbrook, Wade Bowen, Randy Houser, Dean Dillon, Riley Green and Jamey Johnson. Digital archiving and storage company The Archives Nashville raised more than $31K for the CMA Foundation at its second annual "Artist Closet Sale" during CMA Fest in June. Fans could shop for donated items from the closets of Lauren Akins, Dierks Bentley, Jordan Davis, Ernest, Riley Green, Tyler Hubbard, Wynonna Judd, Miranda Lambert, Ella Langley, Little Big Town, Ashley McBryde, Megan Moroney, Thomas Rhett, Jelly Roll, Alana Springsteen and Bailey Zimmerman.
