Butterly Leaving WKKT: iHeartMedia WKKT/Charlotte morning co-host Meg Butterly will leave her position alongside Country Radio Hall Of Famer Paul Schadt for a job outside of radio Aug. 24, though she'll remain with the station in a part-time capacity. "Everyone has been so fantastic to me over the years, the happy times, and even the scary times with my health," Butterly says in an online message to listeners. "I can't imagine having been with anyone else when I went through all of it. I am so happy and thankful that I will still be able to be part of the Kat family." Butterly joined in 2009 after nine years with CBS Radio in markets including Pittsburgh, Detroit and West Palm Beach. Reach her here.
Butterly's departure leaves a prime opening in a top-25 market. "We're looking to add to an incredible team," says Region SVP/Programming Meg Stevens. "Need a great storyteller who lives and breathes country. Charlotte is an incredible vibrant city to live in. So if you want to join a top-rated show, love nice people, warm weather, the Panthers and beer, we are looking for you." Airchecks and résumés to Stevens here.
