End Of An Era: Following the 2024 death of founder Erv Woolsey (Breaking News 3/20/24) his Nashville artist management firm, The Erv Woolsey Company (EWC), is closing its doors after more than 40 years. His son, current EWC CEO Clinton Woolsey, says, “While it is difficult to say goodbye to the company, we are incredibly proud of the legacy my father leaves behind. His influence will continue to live on through the people he mentored, the careers he helped shape, and the example he set for all of us." The company was best-known for handling George Strait's career for the last four decades, also managing Lee Ann Womack, Dierks Bentley, Clay Walker, Ronnie Milsap and others.
