WDRQ Flip Out: Family Life Broadcasting System closed on its purchase (CAT 6/13) of WDRQ/Detroit from Cumulus yesterday (7/31). The station changed to religious programming under new call letters WUFL at midnight. WDRQ's format remains on the HD3 channel of Cumulus Hot AC WDVD as "New Country Detroit." The move leaves Audacy WYCD as the sole Country outlet in the market for the first time since 2013, though CJWF/Windsor, ON reaches much of the city and Cumulus WWWW/Ann Arbor, MI reaches southern and western portions.
