Urban One Closes On Cox/Houston: Urban One closed on the Cox/Houston cluster today (8/2). The $27.5 million purchase includes Country KKBQ and Classic Rock simulcast KHPT & KGLK (CAT 4/11). To remain within ownership limits with its existing Houston cluster, Urban One has placed Cox's fourth Houston station, Classic Country KTHT, in a trust to be sold to Educational Media Foundation (CAT 7/26). Email addresses for Cox/Houston employees will remain unchanged during an initial transition period.
