Parker Right There:
iHeartMedia WBWL/Boston APD/MD/midday personality and WWYZ/Hartford, CT midday host “Amanda Jo” Parker has been named APD/MD/morning co-host at WWYZ effective Aug. 15. She succeeds Cory Myers, who exited earlier this week (CAT 8/3). “Amanda Jo has performed well on the station in middays, and we’re looking forward to having her join [incumbent morning host] Damon [Scott] in the mornings as she continues to contribute to the station’s success,” says Market Pres. Steve Honeycomb. Adds SVP/Programming Joey Brooks, “To sum it up, [Amanda Jo’s] knowledge of Country radio and the way she connects to listeners on the air, online and at events make her the perfect fit for the role.” Parker joined iHeartMedia in Aug. 2014 after more than seven years with Saga/Greenfield, MA. She retains APD/MD/on-air duties at WBWL as well as handling afternoons on Country sister WRNX/Springfield, MA. Reach Parker here.
