Former Hubbard WUBE/Cincinnati morning personalities Chris Carr and Jeff "Maverick" Bolen have joined Clear Channel's KEEY (K102)/Minneapolis in the same capacity and start Sept. 2. The two left the station earlier this week (CAT 8/11). This marks a return to KEEY for Carr, who hosted afternoons there until joining WUBE in 2008. "When I told my wife that we had an opportunity to move back home to Minnesota, I witnessed the brightest smile I have seen from her since our second child was born," says Carr. "We're all excited to reconnect with family, friends, lakes, ice skates and the awesome audience of K102! Plus, I get to do it with one of the most talented and genuine people on this planet, Maverick – I'm excited for everyone to meet him!"
Chris Carr & Company will replace 14-year KEEY morning vets Mike "Muss" Mussman and Donna Valentine, who will remain with the station. Mussman will move to afternoons, succeeding JD Greene, who recently joined the company's WPGB/Pittsburgh (CAT 8/12). Valentine will take over for evening personality Adam West, who will foucus on his afternoon show on Classic Hits clustermate KQQL. Reach Muss here, Valentine here and West here.
