Helping Hoosiers: As deadly flooding continues in central Indiana, claiming the lives of at least seven people, Radio One WLHK/Indianapolis has teamed with TV partners WXIN (Fox59) and WTTV (CBS4) to launch Help in the Heartland. WLHK PD Sean Copeland says, "We have a collective fundraising goal of $500,000 for local Red Cross efforts. On the 26th, we will do a 12-hour day of giving with broadcasts from multiple locations." Copeland also reports that all of his team members are safe, with none residing in the flood zone.
