Group Project: Saga/Clarksville, TN OM & Hot AC WCVQ PD/afternoon host Scott Chase has been elevated to Dir./Group Programming. He succeeds VP/Programming Bob Lawrence, who resigned last month (CAT 7/1). “[Scott] already understands the Saga culture, and this will be a seamless transition for him and us,” says Pres./CEO Edward K. Christian. Chase joined the Clarksville cluster, which includes Country WVVR, in 2004. His prior stops include Cumulus/Nashville; then-Clear Channel/Tampa; Connoisseur/Rockford, IL; Cumulus/Melbourne, FL; and Ardman/West Palm Beach. Saga’s portfolio includes Country outlets WIXY/Champaign, IL; WCKN/Charleston, SC; WCVL/Charlottesville, VA; WOGK/Ocala, FL; and WPOR/Portland, ME. See a complete station list here. Scott will relocate to the corporate office in Grosse Pointe, MI; reach him here. No word on plans for the OM position in Clarksville, though the station website does show a job posting for WCVQ PD/mornings here.
