Shawn Of A New Era: Former iHeartMedia KCCY/Colorado Springs PD/afternoon host Shawn Patrick has been named Bonneville KYGO/Denver APD/afternoon personality. He succeeds Paul Donovan, who exited earlier this month (CAT 8/15). Patrick left KCCY, where he also handled national on-air duties as part of the iHeartCountry custom programming lineup, last month (CAT 7/29). “I talked to a bunch of people about possibilities for my future, but there was one that just stood out above the rest – the opportunity to stay home in Colorado, be on one of the most legendary radio stations in the world, work for a company that believes in people first, and collaborate with some awesome folks,” shares Patrick via Facebook. PD Brian Michel tells Country Aircheck, “[Shawn is] a gifted programmer, an incredible entertainer and a Colorado native! Most importantly, he’s dedicated to serving the community he grew up in.” Patrick’s first on-air appearance will be Monday (8/29); reach him here.
