Brooks' Bag:
iHeartMedia AC WMIA/Miami PD Joey Brooks has been named SVP/Programming for the company's Hartford, CT and New Haven, CT markets, including Country WWYZ, effective Oct. 1. He succeeds Dave Symonds, who stepped down in June (CAT 6/26). "There is no doubt that Joey will take our nine market-leading radio brands to the next level as we continue to provide the best entertainment for our listeners," says Region Pres. Steve Honeycomb. It is a return to the market for Brooks, who served as APD/MD/on-air personality at the cluster's Top 40 WKSS from 2002-2006. His previous experience also includes CHUM/Toronto, WIOQ/Philadelphia and WXKS/Boston. Reach Brooks here.
