
Chronicle: Industry veteran and CDX co-founder and former Pres. Paul Lovelace died at his home Sept. 5 at the age of 81. Prior to launching CDX. Lovelace was VP/Promotion at Capitol/Nashville from 1982-1990, following several other record label positions. A small celebration of life for close family and friends is being planned. Producer, guitarist and engineer Mark Moffatt died Sept. 6 in Nashville following a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 74. The Australian native relocated to Nashville in 1996 and is credited with producing more tracks in the Australasian Performing Right Assn. Top 30 Songs of All Time than any other single producer. Moffatt served three terms as Board Pres. for the Americana Music Association and was awarded the CMA Global Achievement Award. A celebration of life is being planned.
