Bits & Pieces: iHeartMedia WDXB/Birmingham's The Spencer Graves Show co-host Megan Terry recently rescued a stray pit bull. Graves and Terry noticed the pup walking near train tracks during their show. Terry crawled under a fence to retreive the pup, named him "Thunder" and temporarily took him in while providing treatment, food and, ultimately, a new home with a listener.

While he's still awaiting a final total, Audacy RVP/West Coast Programming Scott Roddy reports that KSON/San Diego's Sept. 12 Music For Maui raised north of $10,000 for Maui Contractors Women's Auxiliary, including $2,500 donated by Curb | Word Chairman Mike Curb. The event featured Tim Dugger, Runaway June (photo below), Chase Matthew and Brian Kelley, plus a surprise appearance from American Idol winner Iam Tongi.
