Good Ride, Cowboy:
More than six years after its debut, Garth Brooks’ SiriusXM channel, The Garth Channel, will end at midnight Oct. 1. “We are incredibly grateful and proud to have collaborated with Garth to present The Garth Channel on SiriusXM,” a company spokesperson tells Country Aircheck. “We have enjoyed our creative relationship and look forward to working on future projects together.” Brooks launched the channel in 2016 (CAT 9/9/16) with an eclectic mix of his own music, country and Brooks’ own favorite songs. He also simulcast his weekly, Monday night Facebook live show, Inside Studio G, via the channel; the Facebook live show will continue. Plans for the SXM channel 55 replacement are forthcoming.
