CBS Radio's KMLE/Phoenix rebranded as "The New KMLE 107-9" beginning at noon Friday (9/14) with a jockless presentation and limited commercials through the weekend. PD Jeff Garrison tells Country Aircheck the station is playing two new songs an hour via a listener voting widget on its homepage. A "Tickets at :10" giveaway is running 10 times a day, with this week's promotion centered on the upcoming Jason Aldean concert stop.
A revamped airstaff bowed Monday morning (9/17) with Brad Booker in mornings (CAT 9/11) and incumbent David Dean in middays. Afternoons have been picked up on an interim basis by Nina D from Rythmic Top 40 clustermate KZON, who steps in for the departing Stu Evans (see below). Nights continue to be manned by APD/MD Andrew "Bo Hunter" Bland. Garrison, however, is still accepting applications for the afternoon and night slots; airchecks and resumes here.
