Build-A-Bare: Country Music Hall of Famer Bobby Bare will be presented the Frances Williams Preston Mentor Award during the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame Gala Oct. 11 at Nashville's Music City Center. He will be the first recording artist to receive the award; past honorees include Bob Beckham (2008), Bill Hall (2009), Preston (2010), David Conrad (2011), Donna Hilley (2012), Amy Kurland (2013), Pat Higdon (2014), Bill Lowery (2016) and Ralph Murphy (2019).
