Life Note: Pittsburgh radio legend John Garry Lindemulder, the father of Futuri Media Partner Success Mgr. Scott Lindy, died Sept. 16 in Hiram, GA at age 91. Known on air as "John Garry," he got his start in radio in Flint, MI, but rose to fame at Toledo AM stations Top 40 WTOD and AC WSPD. He later co-hosted the O'Brien & Garry morning show with Larry O'Brien on AC WTAE, Top 40 and then AC WHTX, and Rhythmic Top 40 WMXP in Pittsburgh for more than 20 years. He retired in 1997, with occasional fill-ins at Classic Hits WWSW/Pittsburgh. A private celebration of life is being planned. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his name to the ASPCA. Condolences to Lindy here.
