Wes Filling Tastes Great: As we reported this morning via Twitter, Entercom's WDAF (The Wolf)/Kansas City APD/MD/middayer Wes Poe has been promoted to PD effective Oct. 1 with the departure of OM/PD Dan Persigehl for Atlanta (CAT 9/20). Poe will continue handling music and keep his on-air role as well. No additional hires are planned. "I was thrilled to come home to KC a year-and-a-half ago," Poe says. "Now I am very excited to have the opportunity to program a legendary station. It's like having your cake and eating it, too." He joined The Wolf in January 2009 from KTOM/Monterey, where he served as PD. His priors include KSON/San Diego, KBEQ/Kansas City and KMLE/Phoenix. Congratulate him here.
