Core Strength: Republic SVP/Top 40 & Adult Promotion Jon Borris has been named GM for The Core Records, where he'll oversee the label’s day-to-day operations, artist strategy, A&R, marketing and distribution. "[Jon's] unparalleled expertise in artist development, combined with his track record of success, makes him the perfect fit as we continue building the future of music," say Co-Founders/CEOs Chief Zaruk and Simon Tikhman. Prior to his six-year tenure at Republic, Borris spent nearly two decades at Sony Music Entertainment. The Core Records is a co-venture with Universal Music Group (CAT 7/10/23).
