WNCY's Stone To Depart
Stone To Depart: Midwest WNCY/Appleton-Green Bay Brand Mgr./personality Dan Stone is stepping down Oct. 23 after 34 years with the company. Stone will be moving to Michigan's Upper Peninsula, where he plans to do some part-time voice work for local stations. "I started here the same year Brett Favre started with the Packers," he says. "The first few years were Top 40 at WIXX before the last almost 20 at WNCY. It's time to let somebody else drive for a while." Morning host and former WNCY PD Randy "Shotgun" Shannon will handle programming duties on an interim basis; no word on long term plans for the position. Until his departure, Stone can continue to be reached here.
