Surely Gorley: Ashley Gorley took home a record seventh Songwriter of the Year Award at Nashville Songwriters Association International’s (NSAI6th Annual Nashville Songwriter Awards, held Sept. 26 at the Ryman Auditorium. Morgan Wallen won Songwriter-Artist of the year. Song of the Year was awarded to Trannie AndersonDallas Wilson and Lainey Wilson for “Heart Like A Truck” (recorded by Wilson), and nine additional songs and their 23 writers were honored in the peer-voted "Songs I Wish I'd Written" award category.

As previously reported, songwriter Bobby Braddock, National Music Publishers’ Association Pres./CEO David Israelite and Tim McGraw were honored with the Kris Kristofferson Lifetime Achievement Award, NSAI Advocacy Award and President's Keystone Award, respectively (CAT 6/15).
