Dingo Star:
iHeartMedia WDRM/Huntsville, AL morning co-host “Dingo” Brent Crank is adding afternoons for Country sister WAMZ/Louisville effective October 19. He succeeds Jay Cruze, who will now focus on his Country PD role for the company’s National Programming Group (CAT 6/13/19), and Amy Nic, who departed in January amid cutbacks (CAT 1/15). “My dreams are coming true,” shares Crank via Facebook. “Mornings on WDRM, and afternoons on WAMZ ... I-65, I’m about to wear you out!” It is a return to the market for Crank, who previously spent more than three years at crosstown Summit WQNU before returning to Alabama last year (CAT 9/30/19). His prior tops include KSWG/Wickenburg, AZ; KFIN/Jonesboro, AR; WGTR/Myrtle Beach and a previous stint at WDRM. Reach him here.
