Chronicle: Nashville Songwriters Hall of Famer Rory Bourke has died at the age of 84. After jobs at Mercury and Smash Records, Bourke shifted to full time songwriting, penning Charlie Rich's "The Most Beautiful Girl," George Strait's "You Look So Good In Love," Jo Dee Messina's "Bye Bye," Collin Raye's "Little Red Rodeo" and several Anne Murray songs, among many others. He was inducted into NaSHoF in 1989, and named ASCAP Country Songwriter of the Year in 1975, 1979 and 1983. See his Hall of Fame bio here, and his full obituary here. Service details will be available soon. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Diabetes Association or Nashville Songwriters Association International.
