Hank You Very Much:
Alpha Media has flipped Modern AC WCLI/Dayton to Country as "101.5 Hank FM – Icons of Country," promising to play "the iconic artists absent from Dayton radio ... such as Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, George Strait, Reba McEntire, Shania Twain and Brooks & Dunn." Existing OM and WCLI PD Brad Waldo will remain as the station launches with 10,000 songs commercial-free. Reach him here. EVP/Programming Scott Mahalick tells Country Aircheck news is forthcoming about on-air openings. "We're growing this thing in multiple phases," he says. "There's a lot of personality and attitude with the Hank brand, and we're showing that during the commercial-free sweep and we'll grow it from there." WCLI will face off against Cox's market-leading WHKO, which showed a 13.5 in the summer Nielsen Audio ratings, and Aloha Station Trust's WYDB, which had a 2.0 (11). Listen here.
