charliemorgan.jpg

Morgan Free, Man: Apple Music Global Head/Radio & Music Programming Charlie Morgan will be retiring in the spring after more than 40 years in radio. Morgan’s career began at WFMS/Indianapolis – starting on-air before rising to programming and operations roles. He was named VP/MM for then-Susquehanna in 2000 and crossed the street to then-Emmis/Indianapolis as SVP/MM in 2009. He later was named MM for the company’s New York station group. He is a long-tenured CRB board member and past president, as well as a past-chair of the CMA board. He was inducted into the Country Radio Hall of Fame last year. Read his HoF profile here; reach him here through early next year.

Hot Air: No official word, but Morgan's departure has Apple Music Head/Nashville & Country Music Jay Liepis assuming the Global Head/Radio & Music role with, as previously reported, Global Head/Country Music Michael Bryan handling Liepis' prior responsibilities.
