Certs With Retsyn: Vince Gill received the Legacy Songwriter Icon award last night (10/22) at the National Music Publishers' Association's Gold & Platinum Gala at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville. The event honored more than 150 Nashville songwriters who have achieved RIAA Gold, Platinum and Diamond certifications in the country genre in the eligibility period (July 2025-June 2026). Charlie Handsome took home the Top Songwriter of the Year award for earning 35 new certifications. The Platinum Anthem award, which recognizes the highest certified song of the year, went to Rob Williford for co-writing Luke Combs’ 2018 hit "Beautiful Crazy," which achieved 15x Platinum status in December 2025.
