Tampa Bae: As reported this morning, Cox WWKA/Orlando APD and morning host Ashley Morrison will take the programming reigns at iHeartMedia WFUS/Tampa beginning Nov. 16. The PD position was previously held by Cindy Spicer, who departed in September (CAT 8/31) after 22 years with the company. "Ashley has been on our radar for several years, and I am excited to bring a star programmer over to the iHeartMedia family," says SVPP Tommy Chuck, to whom she reports. Morrison, who was born and raised in the Tampa Bay area, adds, "I’ve waited for the perfect opportunity to get back home, and it’s here. I get to continue being a part of the best format in music and do it closer to family." Morrison added MD duties in 2016 (CAT 3/29/16) after two years with the morning show. Reach her here.
