Cumulus To Launch Nash Nights Live: Cumulus will expand its Nash media brand with the Jan. 6 launch of Nash Nights Live featuring KKGO/Los Angeles morning personality Shawn Parr, who will relocate to Nashville for the job. The new show will air 7pm-midnight on Cumulus' 84 Country stations including WNSH/New York, and be distributed elsewhere by Cumulus Media Networks. The company says the show will feature "the latest in country music including hit songs topping the charts, news, interviews, caller and fan interaction as well as special events that will take the show on the road to cities across the country."
"This latest Country music offering from Cumulus Media Networks will provide our listeners and advertisers with in-demand Nash programming and we couldn't be more pleased to have a star of Shawn Parr's caliber leading the way," says EVP/Co-COO John Dickey. Adds Parr, "After 25 years in Los Angeles Country radio I can't even begin to tell you how exciting it is to move to Nashville, the home of country music, and partner with John Dickey and the Cumulus family to help grow the Nash FM brand," Parr said. "This really is a dream partnership and I am anxious to get started."
Parr's background includes KZLA/Los Angeles. As the voice of Dick Clark Productions for the past 21 years, Parr has voiced the American Music Awards, the Golden Globes and the Academy Of Country Music Awards to name a few. Nash Nights Live will lead directly into Cumulus' Kickin' It With Kix overnight show. No word on plans to fill morning drive at KKGO.
