In The Still Of The Night:
As reported this morning via Breaking News, Cumulus will expand its Nash media brand with the Jan. 6 launch of Nash Nights Live featuring KKGO (Go Country)/Los Angeles morning personality Shawn Parr. Parr will relocate to Nashville for the show, which will run 7pm-midnight on all Cumulus Country stations and be distributed elsewhere by Cumulus Media Networks. As for how the move will affect CMT Radio Live With Cody Alan, which Cumulus carries on many of its Country stations, the network says the program "will continue into 2014 and beyond, with an exciting announcement in the coming days. Thanks as always for your support [and] stay tuned." The show is currently on 120 stations; Cumulus currently owns 84 stations in the format.
Meanwhile, Parr's last day at KKGO was Wednesday (11/6) and station owner Saul Levine is searching for his replacement. "We see this as an opportunity to find the best air personality in the U.S. for Go Country mornings," he says. "We're looking for someone who can communicate with the audience in a conversational manner." Airchecks and resumes to Station Mgr. & Dir./Marketing Michael Levine here. PD Tonya Campos is covering the daypart for now. In addition to mornings on KKGO, Parr also hosts The Country's Hot List, which is repped by United Stations. No word on how his new job will affect that program.
