Bits & Pieces: WIRK/West Palm Beach, FL morning co-hosts Tim Leary and Chelsea Taylor participated in four Veterans Day events over the course of five days. They included Habitat for Humanity of Greater Palm Beach County's build at “Vetsville," a shelter for veterans in need; guest judging the Tequesta Chili Cook-off, where proceeds went to five local veterans charities; serving for the fifth year as emcees for the Palm Beach County Veterans Day Parade; and emceeing the Veterans Day Gala for Fort Freedom, which aims to reduce veteran suicide and heal the wounds of PTSD. The latter event raised close to $300,000.
