Halverson Up At KAJA: iHeartMedia KASE/Austin afternoon host and Top 40 KHFI/Austin APD Alek Halverson has been named PD of KAJA/San Antonio, filling the opening created by the recent departure of Kyle Due. Halverson will continue his air shift at KASE. "Alek is one of the rising stars within iHeartMedia,” says SVPP/Austin & San Antonio Jason McCollim, to whom Halverson will report. “With his tremendous knowledge of the country music format, we knew he was the right person to lead this excellent brand." Halverson joined iHeartMedia/Austin in January (CAT 1/6) and previously served as MD/afternoon host at then-Entercom KKWF/Seattle. Reach him here.
