President And Accounted For: Saga SVP/Operations Christopher Forgy has been named Pres./CEO effective Dec. 7 while Norfolk, VA Pres./GM Wayne Leland will rise to succeed as SVP/Operations. Forgy fills the vacancy created upon the passing of Founder/CEO Ed Christian (Chronicle 8/22). “[Forgy’s] leadership will provide an opportunity to bring new ideas and change to Saga,” says Interim Pres./CEO Warren Lada, who has handled oversight since Christian’s passing. “Also, promoting Saga veteran Wayne Leland provides a smooth transition and an opportunity to explore and implement strategic operational changes to enhance Saga’s ongoing performance.” Forgy has been with the company since 2018, and Leland joined in 2011 following time with then-Citadel, Spring Broadcasting, Capstar and Berkshire Broadcasting.
