Chronicle: Veteran music executive
Mike Martinovich passed Nov. 18. He was 81. Martinovich's 25-year run at CBS/Sony Records began in 1969, and took him to Atlanta, Cincinnati, New York and, in 1988, Nashville. He co-founded the consulting firm Mansfield-Martinovich in 1994, and subsequently became a partner in management company The Consortium in 2002, where he spent 15 years. Both of Martinovich's sons followed in his footsteps: Michael in management and Bo, who is currently Sr. Dir./National Promotion & Artist Development at Sony Music Nashville. Visitation and viewing will be 3:30-6pm Nov. 22 at Eastland Funeral Home (904 Gallatin Ave., Nashville TN 37206); services will be at noon Nov. 23 at Svetka Petka Serbian Orthodox Church (1712 5th Ave. N., Nashville TN 37208).
