Chronicle: Walt Aldridge
Chronicle: Musician, singer, songwriter, engineer and record producer Walt Aldridge died Nov. 19 at the age of 70 following a long illness. A member of both the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Alabama Music Hall of Fame, his songwriting credits include “I Loved Her First” (Heartland), “Modern Day Bonnie And Clyde” (Travis Tritt), “The Fear Of Being Alone” (Reba McEntire), “(There’s) No Gettin’ Over Me” (Ronnie Milsap) and “Holding Her And Loving You” (Earl Thomas Conley). He was lead vocalist for Epic-signed band The Shooters in the late 1980s. Aldridge also worked for a decade as a Professor in the Entertainment Industry Department at the University of North Alabama.
