It Just Snow Happens: Loud Media Classic Country WTNQ/La Follette, TN launched into Christmas music yesterday (11/22) as "Santa 104.9" making it the first secular holiday music outlet in the Knoxville market. It is unknown if the move is a holiday-only transition or a preparation for another format change following the flip from Oldies in June (CAT 6/29) when WTNQ became the sixth Country competitor in the listening area. Ron Meredith WMYL/Knoxville has also begun teasing a holiday launch, sharing via Facebook, “The most wonderful time of the year starts Thanksgiving and Black Friday as 96.7 Merle goes all Christmas!” Stream WTNQ here and WMYL here.
