Chronicle: Producer/musician Tommy Spurlock passed away yesterday (11/28). He was 69. Spurlock established himself as a musician playing for fellow Fort Worth native Delbert McClinton in the early 1970s. He later went on to tour and record with numerous artists, including Robert Earl Keen, Highway 101, Rodney Crowell and George Jones. Spurlock moved to Nashville in 1986 and set up a studio in converted train cars near Union Station. In the mid 2000s, he relocated to Austin where, in addition to his production work, he owned and operated a Thai food trailer. No information on services was available at press time.
