Grover Retires: Zia Classic Country KQTY/Borger, TX Station Mgr./morning host George Grover is retiring tomorrow (11/30) after 43 years with the station. "George leaves some big shoes to fill and set the bar as a great broadcaster for a long time in this area," Owner Grant Merrill tells Country Aircheck. "We will be utilizing our staff in Dumas and Pampa to help fill his role until we find someone permanently." KQTY will simulcast all-Christmas music with co-owned KGRO-AM/Pampa, TX and KDDD-AM/Dumas, TX for the month of December.  Local coverage here.
