The Dude Abides:
Hometown Wilmington Media/Wilmington, NC flipped News simulcast WNTB and WLTT to Country as "The Dude" earlier today (12/2). "In keeping with the tradition of being your hometown connection, we wanted a Country radio station that played the songs listeners wanted to hear, not music that was selected in Atlanta or New York,” says GM Beau Gunn. Singles from Carrie Underwood, Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, Jason Aldean, Taylor Swift, Florida Georgia Line, Luke Bryan, Keith Urban and Kellie Pickler will be featured, as well as lesser-known album cuts from those artists. The station will solicit listener input on music via an advisory board here. The search is on for a morning show. Apply here. The addition brings the number of Country outlets in the market to two, including Cumulus' WWQQ.
