Who, What, When, Where: Triple 8 Management partner Bruce Kalmick is launching his own firm, Why & How, with clients including Chase Rice, Seaforth, Kelleigh Bannen and Breland. Additionally, Triple 8 Managers Kelly Kresen, Rachel Cave and Eddie Kloesel join the start-up in similar roles. “The ‘why’ and the ‘how’ have always been the first steps to every partnership in this business, and the W (Wyatt) and H (Hazel) are two very adorable redheads that call me dad, so it’s a perfect name for this important next and timely step,” says Kalmick via Facebook. Principal George Couri founded Triple 8 Management in 2008, and Kalmick’s Ambiance Artists partnered under the Triple 8 banner in 2013 (CAT 1/22/13). Triple 8 Partners Paul Steele and Jesse Atwell remain, along with 27 additional team members at its Nashville and Austin offices. The partnership in Triple Tigers Records, formed in 2016 (CAT 10/10/16), will also remain solely with Couri and Triple 8.
