The Lia Show To End:
Westwood One nationally syndicated nights The Lia Show and overnight The Later With Lia Show host Lia Knight tells Country Aircheck she has no plans in place moving forward, but is open to opportunities, as WW1 will cease production and distribution of both shows effective Dec. 31. "To do something for 25 years, through five company iterations, is a blessing, and I am looking forward to whatever the next chapter holds," she says. Affiliates of one or both shows received a letter from WW1 VP/Affiliate Sales, Music & Entertainment Todd Alan yesterday (12/1) notifying them of the change, saying in part, “Accordingly, and per the terms of our agreement with you, Westwood One is terminating our affiliation agreement ... your Westwood One representative will be contacting you soon to discuss available options for alternative programming.” Knight has hosted The Lia Show for more than two decades and added the overnight edition in 2020 when The Blair Garner Show signed off (CAT 7/13/20). No word on whether any additional staffers will be impacted by the move. Reach Knight here.
